Live Music

Miami concerts.
Find a concert buddy.

The venues worth knowing and how to find someone who actually knows the setlist.

Miami's live music scene goes way past the big EDM festivals. Here are the venues to know across every size, plus a strategy for finding the right concert +1.

The big rooms

Kaseya Center

The arena that hosts touring stadium acts. Buy floor seats only if you really love the band; the views from 200-level are often better.

FTX Arena (now Kaseya)

Big rooms also include LoanDepot Park for stadium pop tours.

The mid-sized venues

The Fillmore Miami Beach

Historic 2,700-seat theater. Strong sightlines from anywhere. The best venue for the type of touring artist who has 5 to 10 thousand fans in the city.

The Ground

Downtown's biggest underground/EDM venue. Late-late shows.

Wynwood Marketplace

Outdoor concerts, food trucks, free entry to some shows. The casual entry point.

The small rooms

North Beach Bandshell

Outdoor amphitheater. Most shows are free or under $20. Latin jazz, indie, world music. Bring a blanket.

Gramps

The Wynwood institution. DJs and small bands, late nights.

Ball & Chain

Little Havana. Live Cuban jazz seven nights a week. Real local crowd.

The annual events

  • III Points (Wynwood, October) - Miami's best indie/electronic festival.
  • Rolling Loud (Hard Rock Stadium) - hip-hop, massive.
  • Ultra Music Festival (Bayfront Park, March) - global EDM moment.
  • Miami Beach Pops - outdoor classical concerts on the sand.

Finding a concert +1

Concerts are one of the highest-conversion +1 categories on Plus 1. The matching is built around shared interest in the artist, so the energy is already aligned. Post the show, the date, and your spare ticket and you'll have a +1 by the end of the day.
