Plus 1 is coming to NYC.
Here is what to expect.
The plans-first social app launches in New York City in summer 2026 with a fresh Ticketmaster integration. This is everything you need to know.
The plans-first social app launches in New York City in summer 2026 with a fresh Ticketmaster integration. This is everything you need to know.
After two years in Miami and South Florida, Plus 1 is launching in New York City this summer. AP News covered the announcement, including the new Plus 1 + Ticketmaster integration that lets members find a plus one for any concert, game, or show on Ticketmaster directly inside the app.
If you live in New York and you have been on the wrong side of a dating-app messaging thread that never turned into a plan, this is for you.
Plus 1 is the plans-first social app for dating, friends, and networking. Members post a real plan with a time and place. Other verified members request to join. The host approves one. You meet in real life. The activity is the introduction.
Unlike Hinge, Bumble, or Tinder, you are not swiping through profiles and praying a chat turns into a meeting. Unlike Meetup or Partiful, you are not joining a 30-person open-RSVP event. Plus 1 sits in the middle: one-on-one or small group, member-led, intent-matched, host-approved.
The single largest piece of feedback the team has received over the last 18 months is "when are you launching in New York?" New York is the most plans-dense city in the United States. There are more concerts, more dinners, more brunches, more openings, more run clubs, more rooftop happy hours per square mile than anywhere else in the country. The app's plans-first thesis fits the city better than the city fits dating apps.
Rooftop drinks, gallery openings, broadway, sports games, networking happy hours, museums.
Smorgasburg, run clubs, comedy nights, Williamsburg waterfront, dinner parties.
Live music, food crawls, US Open in season, neighborhood explorations.
Yankees games, Botanical Garden, neighborhood food tours.
Ferry sunsets, parks, neighborhood meet-ups.
Jersey City, Hoboken, and Long Island come online in waves through fall 2026.
This is new for NYC. Members can browse upcoming Ticketmaster events directly inside the Plus 1 app: concerts, sporting events, shows, comedy. Tap an event you want to go to, post it as a plan, set your intent (dating, friends, or networking), and another verified member can request to join you. You meet at the event. No more spare ticket on Stubhub at 5pm.
Like in Miami, NYC members will declare one of three intents on each plan: dating, friendship, or networking. You only see plans posted by members whose intent matches yours. This is a feature most NYC dating and friend apps cannot offer because they are dating-only or friends-only by design.
Every NYC member is verified before posting or joining a plan, either by linking a primary social account (LinkedIn, Facebook, or Instagram) so other members can vet them, or by completing real ID verification. Members without a linked social are automatically prompted for ID verification. Hosts can also require real ID verification on a per-plan basis when creating a plan, so only ID-verified members can request to join. Every plan is host-approved. Reporting is one tap. Trust review is 24 hours. The architecture that has kept Miami plans safe carries over.
The first 30 days of any city launch reward the early movers. The members who post the first plans are the ones who set the tone for the whole network. If you post a Brooklyn run club, a Williamsburg gallery opening, or a Madison Square Garden game in week one, you will get more requests than at any other point in the app's history because supply has not yet caught demand.

Two years and 1,522 plans in, the pattern is clear: when people commit to a real activity, the introductions take care of themselves. The plan does the work. New York gets to skip the awkward dating-app-chat stage entirely. We cannot wait.

Plus 1 is plans-first, not profile-first. Members post a specific plan, other members request to join, you meet in real life. The activity is the introduction. Plus 1 also supports three intents in one app: dating, friendship, and networking. Compare side-by-side in Plus 1 vs Hinge.
Brunches, rooftop drinks, gallery openings, concerts, sporting events, fitness classes, run clubs, networking happy hours, and any plan with a time and place. Many plans will integrate Ticketmaster events directly through the new Plus 1 + Ticketmaster integration.
Plus 1 has integrated with Ticketmaster so members can browse upcoming concerts, sports games, and shows directly inside the app. Tap an event, post it as a plan, and another verified member can request to join you.
