This is the biggest difference. On Plus 1 the plan already exists when you start the conversation. You are not negotiating "where should we go?" through a week of messages. The plan is "yacht day Saturday at noon," and you either want to be on the yacht or you don't. Members report most confirmed plus ones happen within 24 hours of posting.
Profile-first apps have a structural problem: the cost of matching is zero, so the commitment is zero. Plus 1 inverts this. By the time someone joins your plan, they have already committed to a specific day, time, and place. Cancellations happen, but they are rare relative to chat-app standards.

Every member is verified before they can post or join a plan.
