Everything you might want to know about how Plus 1 works - and how to get the most out of it.
Most apps are focused mostly on dating, with tons of swiping, ghosting, and conversations that go nowhere.
Plus 1 puts the plans first - whether it’s a workout, brunch, networking mixer, or a night out. You post your plan, people request to join, and you approve who you want to meet. It’s the easiest way to make real connections fast, with less effort and more intention.
You must be 18 years or older to use the app.
Tap the plus icon at the bottom of the screen. Fill out the required details (marked with a red asterisk) and then hit Create Plan at the bottom.
Yes! After your plan ends, it will move to the Your Plans tab in the main menu. From there, just tap the clone icon to copy it. It will automatically populate in the Make a Plan screen - all you have to do is update the date and time, hit Create, and it will be live again on the Discover page.
The Discover page shows plans based on your current location by default. You can pull down to refresh your location and nearby plans. Use the filter icon in the top right to sort by city, gender, or plan type.
Click on a plan to view the details, then tap Request to Join.
Plus 1 is built for one-on-one and small-group plans. Free members can approve one person per plan. Premium members ($4.99/month) can approve up to five AND unlock a built-in group chat inside each plan, which turns Plus 1 into a friend-group coordination tool.
If you follow someone and they follow you back, you can also invite multiple followers directly to any plan you post.
Yes. Plus 1 is not just for meeting strangers. Post a plan, share the link with friends so they download the app, and now your group can see what everyone is up to. It replaces the group chat where nobody answers “what are we doing this weekend?”
Premium ($4.99/month) lets you approve up to five people per plan for full friend-group coordination.
Yes. Free members approve one person per plan (one-on-one). Premium members ($4.99/month) approve up to five (small groups). Follow-based invites let you send plans directly to friends you follow.
For larger events like parties, use Plus 1 for the core group and invite others separately.
Ideas is a curated feed of things to do near you: restaurants, rooftops, events, activities, dates, and local recommendations.
Tap any idea and it becomes a plan you can post to your friends or the wider network. It solves the “what should we do?” problem.
1. Meet someone new, post a plan and match with people who want the same activity.
2. Coordinate plans with the friends you already have, Premium at $4.99/month unlocks groups up to five.
3. Browse the Ideas tab for local things to do and turn any of them into a plan.
Most active members use all three in the same week. Read the full breakdown.
You’ll get an instant notification when you’re approved. You’ll also receive a reminder one hour before the meetup to confirm with the host.
You’ll be notified and placed on the standby list. Plans stay live even after someone is approved in case that person cancels or becomes unresponsive, giving the host backup options so they don’t have to go solo.
If a host removes your approval, you’ll be notified right away so you’re not left wondering.
Unfortunately, we can’t control who approves or declines - but if your requests aren’t being accepted, take matters into your own hands: be the one to post a plan.
Create something fun, unique, or attention-grabbing, and you’re much more likely to get requests. Think dinner at a hot new restaurant, a beach workout, or even F1 or Heat game tickets. If you lead the way, people will follow.
Sometimes it’s all about timing and visibility. As our community grows, your chances of getting more requests will go up.
There’s someone out there for every type of plan, whether it’s a beach day, museum trip, or just grabbing a smoothie. Keep posting, stay creative, and don’t be afraid to switch it up.
After meeting up, both people can complete a short optional survey (4 quick yes/no questions) about how it went. Your reliability score is based on this feedback and helps ensure a trustworthy community.

Outside of that, don’t be a jerk. Be respectful. We get that not everyone vibes, and some people just don’t click. If you don’t like someone, block them - or report them if something inappropriate happens.
Unlike other apps, we don’t use emotionless algorithms to decide who stays or goes. We review every report carefully and only take action when someone crosses clear community standards.
