Plus 1 vs Bumble
honest comparison.
Plans-first vs swipe-first. A clear side-by-side from a Miami-based team that has used both.

Plus 1 is built around a specific plan you commit to. Bumble is built around a profile you chat with. Both work. The right one depends on whether you want the activity to happen before the rapport or after.
Bumble (and Bumble BFF, and Bumble Bizz) is a profile-first app. You see a face, you swipe, you match, you chat, and at some point you decide whether to meet. The chat phase can last days, weeks, or never end.
Plus 1 inverts that. A member posts a real plan with a date and a place. Other members request to join. The host approves one person. The plan happens. Conversation happens in person.

Plus 1. The plan is already locked, the date is set, you just need a +1. Bumble requires you to match, chat, suggest a place, agree on a time. Plus 1 collapses that into one tap.
Both work. Bumble has more profile depth, Plus 1 has more activity context. We'd recommend running them in parallel and seeing which produces better conversations.
Plus 1, by a wide margin. Bumble BFF still requires the chat-then-meet cycle. Plus 1 puts you at brunch with someone Saturday morning if you want.
Plus 1. Posting "Brickell tech happy hour, looking for a +1" gets you in front of relevant Miami professionals fast. Bumble Bizz is slower and less geo-specific.
Bumble, for now. Plus 1 is Miami and South Florida only. NYC is next.
Bumble works globally so it has a huge top-of-funnel everywhere. Plus 1 is purpose-built for Miami right now, which means hosts and members are concentrated, plans show up in the same neighborhoods, and the team itself runs events you can attend. For Miami specifically, Plus 1 wins on density of plans for the size of the city. Bumble wins on absolute user count.
Plus 1 is the smaller app. If you want a feed with thousands of profiles to scroll, Bumble has more. Plus 1 also requires you to act with intent, posting a plan or requesting to join, which is more effort than swiping in bed. That tradeoff is the point, but it's worth saying. We think the intent filter produces better outcomes. You may prefer the volume.
