Plus 1 is the plans-first social app for dating, friends, and networking. Unlike Hinge, Bumble, or Tinder, you do not swipe through profiles. You post a real plan with a date and place. Other verified members request to join. The host approves one. You meet at the activity. The plan is the introduction.
Members declare an intent on every plan: dating, friendship, or networking. You only see plans posted by members whose intent matches yours.

This is new for NYC. Members can browse upcoming Ticketmaster events directly inside the Plus 1 app: concerts, sporting events, shows, comedy. Tap an event you want to go to, post it as a plan, set your intent (dating, friends, or networking), and another verified member can request to join you. You meet at the event. No more spare ticket on StubHub at 5pm.
Plans-first social apps fit New York better than they fit anywhere else. The plans density is highest in the country: concerts every night, sports games every weekend, openings every Thursday, brunches every Sunday. Plus 1 was built for cities exactly like this.
Every NYC member is verified before posting or joining a plan, either by linking a primary social account (LinkedIn, Facebook, or Instagram) so other members can vet them, or by completing real ID verification. Members without a linked social are automatically prompted for ID verification. Hosts can also require real ID verification on a per-plan basis when creating a plan, so only ID-verified members can request to join. Every plan is host-approved. Reporting is one tap. Trust review is 24 hours.

Plus 1 has integrated with Ticketmaster so members can browse upcoming concerts, sports games, and shows directly inside the app. Tap an event, post it as a plan, and another verified member can request to join you.
Plus 1 is plan-first, not profile-first. Members commit to a specific real activity, then meet over it. The activity replaces the small talk. Plus 1 also supports three intents (dating, friendship, networking), which most apps do not.
